Migranti a Lampedusa: Salvini definisce gli sbarchi come un atto di guerra

Lampedusa’s landings are the symbol of a non-existent Europe. When 120 naval vessels arrive in a few hours, it is not a spontaneous event, it is an act of war. Six thousand people in 24 hours do not arrive by chance. I am convinced that there is a plan behind this exodus. The trafficking is organized upstream, on the African coasts, with someone financing it. Matteo Salvini, leader of the League and Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, expresses himself in this way on the landing emergency, with the arrival of thousands of migrants in these hours.

“I believe it is something wanted, organized, financed even to put an uncomfortable government in difficulty. We are facing an exodus organized by criminal organizations. And to criminal organizations, we respond with all available means, but we will discuss it with the government,” he adds. “Giorgia Meloni is doing everything possible and impossible by going to Tunisia, Libya, talking to von der Leyen, all diplomatic channels have been tried, but if they lead to 6,000 arrivals in a few days, and to doors slammed in our face by France and Germany, we must organize ourselves,” Salvini adds, who also returns to the topic on TG1.

“I doubt that this Europe can help Italy. They are leaving us totally alone in the defense of our borders, by sea and by land, so we must organize ourselves, return to even stricter security decrees. Rather than going to trial for having blocked the landings of foreign ships that were all arriving in Italy, which I failed to do, we will try to be even more incisive,” Salvini states.
