RUMORS ABOUT TOTTI’S RETURN TO ROMA: STILL JUST A DESIRE
Recent reports in the newspapers, fueled by the long break for international matches, have reignited the discussion about the possible return of Francesco Totti to AS Roma’s management.
It all started with a request made by José Mourinho some time ago, asking for a strong figure to support him in dealing with public and political challenges within the club.
Yesterday, Totti’s name started circulating as a potential candidate for this role, although Mourinho did not explicitly mention him. The coach would like to have a strong figure by his side and would gladly accept names like Boniek or Boban, who would make him happy.
However, at the moment, Mourinho’s wish seems to be just a desire, as there is no concrete development. Both Totti and Boniek have confirmed that there are no ongoing discussions with Roma. The club, in fact, does not seem inclined to include new management figures after the arrival of Lina Souloukou.
